Boots to Suits is a clothing program for all male and female Virginia veterans who have or will be transitioning from military life to civilian careers. Boots to Suits provides veterans with two complimentary career outfits, enabling them to look and feel their best for job interviews and non-military work environments. Military spouses of Wounded Warriors who are job-seeking and the main household provider are also eligible for this opportunity.

How do I schedule my fitting appointment?

Boots to Suits is located in the Hamilton Professional Building. Fitting appointments can be scheduled once your eligibility is confirmed by the Virginia Transitioning Assistance Program.

1. The first step in setting up a fitting is to get verified. You can do this by going to the following link and filling out the form attached to the link. This will go to our VTAP Rep who will email us once you are verified. CLICK HERE TO FILL OUT YOUR VERIFICATION FORM.

   (Due to volume this process takes 2-4 weeks).

2. Once you have been verified we will reach out to you with a sizing sheet that you will need to get professionally filled out. You can go to any men’s shop and they will usually measure you for free. You can mention our program and call beforehand just to make sure, but we have not run into any issues so far. You will want to get professionally measured so that we will have your most accurate size. We want to make sure we have the proper inventory/sizes for your fitting so that the appropriate clothing selections will be available upon your arrival!

3. Once we receive your filled-out sizing sheet, we will email or call you with our available days and times for fitting appointments! (We are usually booking about one-two months out).

Fitting Appointments
Appointments are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - 1:30 / 2:00 / 2:30 time slots and generally take less than one hour. Appointments are held at our Boots to Suits shop location listed below.
