What apparel does Boots to Suits accept?

  • Men's Apparel: Leather Belts (excellent condition only), Suits, Sportcoats, Blazers, Dress Shirts & Pants (freshly laundered), Neckties, Shoes (Only in excellent condition)

  • Women's Apparel: Dresses, Skirts, Slacks, Blouses, Tops, Jackets, Pant Suits, Handbags, and Accessories

  • Please dry clean or launder all donated apparel before bringing items to Boots to Suits


What apparel does Boots to Suits not accept?

  • We do not accept the following Men's Apparel: Blue Jeans, TurtleNecks, Sweaters, Casual Pants (ex. Cargo Pants & Chinos), Undergarments, T Shirts, Polo/Golf Shirts, Short Sleeved Dress Shirts, Socks

  • We do not accept the following Women's Apparel: Blue Jeans, T Shirts, Socks, Polo/Golf Shirts, Undergarments, Casual Attire (ex. Crop Pants), Shorts


What apparel does a Vet receive from Boots to Suits?

  • Men: Each vet receives two outfits - A business Suit with accessories & a Blazer/Dress Pant with accessories

  • Women: Each vet receives two outfits - They can select from dresses, suiting, separates, and accessories

  • These outfits are provided to each vet at no charge

  • Please note! These are NOT custom-made suits. They are either purchased new or donated as “like-new”. Vets will leave the same day with their apparel after their one-time fitting appointment.


Where and when are apparel donations accepted?

We typically accept apparel donations on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm at our office:

When will I receive receipts for apparel and/or online donations?

Apparel Donations: A receipt will be provided when you deliver apparel to our office location

Online Donations: You will receive an email confirmation after using our online donations portal with a tax receipt (Boots to Suits is a 501-C-3 corporation).

How long does fitting process typically take?

If you are a Vet waiting to hear back regarding your fitting appointment, PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FIRST! We are having some issues with messages going to SPAM.

If you filled out your VTAP form (as part of your first step email) - it typically takes us 2-4 weeks to hear back from them, then Julia will reach out to you to send you your fitting sheet. After we get that back from you, we will schedule your appointment. Due to high volume of Vets reaching out daily, we book appointments 1-3 months out (depending on the demand at that time).
